BLM: WHERE DID THE MONEY GO?

BLM has made a lot of noise since 2015. You may remember the riots in Ferguson, Missouri. If you don't, then you for sure have to remember the riots of 2020, which the media labeled as mostly peaceful protests. After all of the burning and looting and the screaming for justice, George Floyd, what hardly anybody ever heard was precisely where the donations were going. Of course not, because people were too busy being angry and wanted to get Trump out of the White House.

In the fallout, BLM leaders managed to escape with minimal scrutiny over the handling of funds. Amazingly, the organization continued to get donations even after BLM co-founder Patrisse Cullors was exposed for going on a home-buying shopping spree. Although she dismissed the negative press as right-wing attempts to discredit her, in May of 2021, Cullors resigned from the  Black Lives Matter Global Network. According to the BBC, Cullors planned to leave months in advance to focus on a new book deal.

“I’ve created the infrastructure and the support, and the necessary bones and foundation, so that I can leave,” Cullors told The Associated Press. “It feels like the time is right.”

Even with all of the controversy concerning Patrisse Cullors and her spending habits, I want to know why no one is asking the real question, where in the hell did all of that money go? The Black community has again dropped the ball on holding the so-called community leaders accountable.
And there lies the real problem inside of the Black community; for far too long, random people have popped up out of nowhere and have become figureheads of the Black community. Usually, this ends with a whole lot of rhetoric, big promises, and donations which turn into funds missing and accounted for.

Again, I ask the entire BLM global network, where did the money go?
